Bose- The forgotten hero

I saw "Bose- the forgotten hero"...Directed by Shyam Benegal...what to say about the movie....it starts with some confusion...seems like we missed something in the story but slowly catches the speed...and then it shows Netaji's struggle in escaping from kolkatta from british CID and raising an army in exile to fight the British...his meetings with Hitler and others...the converstaions were good out there and his firmness for freedom stunned me...

well i dont know how many of u know abt it but the film says that Mr.Bose hired a secretary "Emlie" in germany. He made her pregnant and before moving out of germany this female reminds him abt his family (abt her and yet to born baby) and requests him for a traditional hindu marriage...They tied nuptials knot in germany itself and she gave birth to a baby girl and they named her "Anita Bose".

As per the movie the baby was born in early forties that means she must be around 65...where is she now...i am sure she must be alive...what happened to Bose family..in the movie they showed that he wrote a letter to his family in kolkatta, requesting them to take care of his wife and daughter after him...Did his wife and daughter ever visited India?

After googling i found that Anita Bose is still in germany and today, Anita bose Pfaff, is an economics professor at Augsburg University in southern Germany. Below is the link which captures Netajis life from childhood to death.

I did not see the movie, but what I got from the reviews and friends who watched the movie, I can only life of heroes like Bose should not be put on celluloid in this manner. Its great to have a film on him, but it does not reflect his thoughts and real personality.

no idea abt the movie but as far as Anita is concerned, its a long known fact, she is a nice lady and a proud daughter. Unfortunately, some weird fanatic minds dont accept the truth about our own legendry hero, "Forward Block" in West Bengal which was basically founded by Bose himself is one such group blinded by rogue elements these days.

Truly. Bose was a great leader....and it is sad that his legacy is distorted in this manner....I guess one can blame the Congress for most of it. They are the ones who pushed him into oblivion almost to make way for their poster-boys....MK Gandi and the Gandi-Nehru family....sad but true.....

Sadder still though is the decadence of the Forward Block. Founded by Bose, this organization is today just a bunch of hypocritical pseudos claiming to be Commies. And Bose did not even want it to be Commie....sad......so very sad....
