Snap of a Rajasthani villager: What to say

Trip

i liked the the above photograph.

Its so natural...so traditional...but feel sad that they still have these "ghoonghats" and wonder how long will they take to come out of these & when will they become independent. I know some people will disagree with my point saying that its their culture..but then this ghoonghat culture is not helping them in anyway..

I was just assuming that the female is educated and working in some good organisation but still wears the same kind outfits...is it possible??? obviously its not digestable...

Republic day holiday utilization: Get together

Yesterday went to Sangam and GRS fantasypark. Gosh i know how exhausted we were at the end of the day. we planned this picnic on 13th Jan. And luckily we were able to excute it. Went with my classmates (X). We were 11 ppl. I think i better mention the names: Kamna, Sukada, poornima S, Amit, Kundu, Ranjan, Veenu, Pranay, Sachin, Shashi. We started at 8.30 a.m from bangalore in a mini bus (Tempo Traveler) and reached there by 11 a.m.

Sangam: heard a lot about it..but not a very nice place.

About Sangam

It is about 90 km from Bangalore via Kanakapura. Sangam, (or the confluence point - the rivers Cauvery and Arkavathi meet here) is the best place from Bangalore for an average tourist to look forward to. On the way (from Bangalore), there are number of hills, hillocks and about 15 small lakes which are all a feast to the eyes.

i guess we went to a wrong sangam...because we went to mysore road and its written kanakpura road...this i realised after reading article again now :O

My friends started making fun of me saying that " yahan per nala dikane ke liye laayi hai"...it was so embarrasing...i saw the sangam's photograph on net and it was looking a nice picture...i tried explaing them how i heard about it and they told " wasted 30 bucks" because we paid 30 bucks for parking our bus..god they ate my brain but thankfully poornima told something good..she told that some local people come here to bring the ashes of the deceased to the Cauvery. Its supposed to be a holy place. Then we moved to our main destination "Fantasy park".

We reached there at 12.00 p.m . We were damn hungry so we took meals and then we changed the outfits and were in water. We enjoyed all the rides...it was so exciting...we tried almost every waterride...then after we were tired we went to the dance floor...Rain dance at 5.00 with all latest tracks...enjoyed that but it was getting cold..so we came out and went to another ride called as "Lazy river". 15 mins we were there in the lazy river..sitting happily on tubes and waiting for river to flow slowly. Had a great time there. Then started for bangalore at 6.00 and halted on a dhaba for the dinner. The serivice was slow but food was good. It took one and half hours to finish everything at dhaba. Reached bangalore at 12.15 a.m.

Just went to bed straight and slept...today morning went to dentist and came late to office...Still having the water effects on me ;) ...would love to have another picnic soon. Everyone seemed to enjoyed so they told me to organise a third get together outstation..and destination we chose is Kerala backwaters. Lasttime i could not go because of Tsunami waves but m sure before going back to delhi i will see that place :)

Benny Hinns controversy

Had viral fever(mild) all these days...so did not stress myself with posting and all...yesterday slept at 2.30 a.m. No was not studying..but was gossiping with my friends (Chetna,Ample & Malini)...at 11.30 p.m we were in the room after switching off the TV.

Then we started discussing about the latest news...Pastor Benny Hinn...He came yeserday for healings..some stupid ppl are creating a scene...and protesting his visit saying that he has come for converting people to christanity...well i dont understand why they have to think it that ways....Even if he has come for that so what...If u are sensible enough than dont go..why to create a scene??? anyways..dont know whats wrong with this city now a days...for every small matters they have to protest now...this year i saw too many scenes...first was these ppl banning hindi movies in bangalore...Gosh that was bad for all of us...coz we dont understand Kannada movies...they are waste ...then they protested against IT industry saying that its affecting cottage industry..god knows whats the relation between the two...third was this Benny's visit issue...yesterday they did some nasty things...

After listening to all this i thought of doing some research on whats the truth behind...I got this link about Benny Hinn's Controversy...i dont know how far its true...But if this is true then why billions of believers...is that ppl just go in one direction like sheeps..??? but why???

After discussing about all the news we thought of having fun..so decided to talk about something unusual...started thinking what to discuss...and all of a sudden room's door opened with a horrible sound...nobody was there when i went and saw...we were silent 4 a moment...we got the topic...so started talking about ghosts...and horror stories...it was a nice gossip i must say...good timepass...

Today is Saturday nite...again movies and get togethers...

Movies i watched recently

After a long time saw 2 movies.
1. WADA
2. Elaan

Liked both the movies...wada is a suspense movie and Elaan is an action movie...speed of Elaan is quite good..no time to get bore...directions are good...very few songs... & no PJ's...both the movies are worth watching. Last good comedy i watched was HulChul. Seems like directors are getting what we ppl are looking for :)

Arjun Rampal in Elaan is looking really cool...he is sexy..he is... ;)

Dont know what to say for him..though John Abrahim is also good..but Arjun has got something which appeals more...his voice is also very manly...ok ok..enough of his "Tareef"..he is married yaar ;)

Mithun da...looking yuck with kajal in his eyes...Amisha is looking as usual ok...Lara...in some scenes looking pretty...Rahul khanna did a good job...Overall movie is good with good starcast...

waiting for some new movies now :)

Spiderman and Uday chopra

U must be wondering whats this heading and whats the similarity b/w the two. Well no similarity as such.

I liked the movie spiderman and told the same thing to my colleagues. Told them how he send the web...how he climbs...and they started laughing..they told me i am a kiddo...i asked why...they told because i watch kids movie...

i bought a spiderman toy (which i got free in a kiddie meal in Marry Brown) and placed it next to my desktop. They kept my name Spiderwoman. I did not understand why they were teasing me so badly... i downloaded a spiderman's s screen saver also. Gosh...i only know how everyone teased me.

Then one day a colleague from Telecom Department (Ravikanth Sir) came to my cabin in lunch hour. I was casually talking to him. We were discussing abt the latest movies. So i told abt the movie "Dhoom". Told him its a nice flick. He told " whos gonna watch uday chopra." I cud not stop myself and asked him "why whats wrong in him? he is smart and macho" Gosh one more topic for them. He made fun of me...saying that why u like all cartoons on this earth.??

I gave my points in favor of uday chopra...but his points were very indifferent. he told me that " when Uday chopra laughs..it reminds him of a cartoon horse...and he is fit for a spiderman's role in India because his face will be covered and nobody wants to see that" i got irritated...whats this..he is a dude and how can u say that...he didnot agree on any of this...he kept teasing me...all were laughing. To my disbelief there was no one who supported Uday Chopra :( . They laughed at me and told me ' it seems that u are the only fan of his on this earth" .

The story did not end there...whenever he comes to my cabin..first thing he tells is about uday Chopra...Gosh...its too much...i too take it in a sportive way...but now everyday i get horse pictures from my collegaues. Sad!!! Poor Uday Chopra...

Not only this...they kept a nick name for him - udi baba...& have made a song also... waise the song is very rythmic ;)
