23 Yrs wasted…

Well last evening I realized I have wasted 23 yrs of my life and have done nothing which has given me a complete satisfaction (towards the decent side…poverted minds) …Last nite got an ISD call at 11.30 and I was just surprised…then got few calls and was wondering what have I done?

Let me explain you how the scene was and what I was doing…

At 11.00 p.m I saw my cell and there were some missed calls…I checked the numbers and found that 2 were ISD calls…Now it was time for me to wait and see how other ppl react…My mom she was tired with her days activities so went to bed and I was talking to her…door bell rang and I went to open it...it was my cousin with her husband who stays in next lane…she came down and I was chatting with them…suddenly got a call…went out to speak as network is never proper in my room…my cousin and brother were yelling at me as they wanted me to make chappatis for the chicken they had bought...i kept the phone and headed for the kitchen...Mom slept and cousin and her husband had left at 11.45…I entered and started preparing chapattis…thinking abt each passing minute which was not giving me any new feeling…Reems called up...I was busy preparing chappatis so I told her I will call back… and I did..

Then few calls from relatives and some friends…after I finished I was wondering why this time I had no excitement...no hopes…then I realized I am no longer a baby who gets excited on her birthday...i am a grown up female…and today its just any ordinary day for me…

the only thing special about today is that I have joined the new branch today and thankfully got a seat and comp to work on. The work allocation has not yet come but I am sure by the end of the day I will know how much I have to work and how to handle things from tomorrow onwards…Oops forgot to tell..today after a long time i went to gurudwara in the morning which is next door now...feel calm ;)

People out here are good. I met the COO of the company in the morning and sent my report in army style to my boss in Bangalore …the subject line was “ Reporting from delhi, Sir’

he he …quite fundo and I am sure they must have laughed…

Few mins back i got a call from my boss..and the converstaion was like this..

S: hello sir
Boss: Hi, happy birthday
S: thankyou, but how did u get to know?
Boss: i knew it was your b'day...
S: oh really! thats why u are wishing me in afternoon...and when i called up in the morning
there was no sign of my b'day ;)
Boss: ha ha..
S: now tell me how did u get to know
Boss: Well just now i was going through MIS reports of employees and saw your b'day..JIT
S: thankgod!! anyways thanks a lot
Boss: welcome

And one nice mail from my classmate just 5 mins back...i dont know how to react X-) wrong message on a right day...or ....right message on a wrong day...wondering!!!!

" hello S (my_name),
Belated happy birthday to you...may god bless u.. happy birthday to dear S .. happy birthday to you,,, how old are u???(just kidding)...ha..ha..
so sorry that i couldn't wish u on the other day ...because i donot have ur nos... so please do let me know ur nos.. and how are u in delhi... hot or the same...
aur suna kaise manaya birthday...
hope to hear from u soon..

belated happy birthday again "

Why this happens to me...i feel like...
I am just typing thankyou mails from the morning...lot more stored for me like this...and i am damn sure about it...

My resolution: hmmmmmmm ...hmmmmmmmm ...hmmmmm i better start thinking ;) well fine yaar...let me think and write about it..hmmmmm i guess i will do some good things this year...dont ask what all...

Finally transferred to New Delhi

Last monday I got a mail from my travel planner asking me when wud I be comfortable for a journey. I casually told her any day but she took the literal meaning and finally booked the tickets of Wednesday thru Tatkaal…Tuesday she told me that I have to leave on Wednesday. That came to me as a shock…half of my things demanded a big and neat packing...and I was like lost…I had no time to meet me friends and tell good bye to them ...Wednesday morning I was feeling low…

Wednesday I was supposed to be in office for winding up the official things…it took me four hours and finally I left for my cousins house...I met my cousin and her mom...that was a surprise to find all of them there…I was there for 1 hour and finally left the place and headed towards my PG. I reached PG at 5.45 p.m and my train was at 6.30 p.m. I went to my old office and said good by to all my ex colleagues there and then ran back to PG at 6.00 p.m. With few mins left in hands I packed things in hustle bustle …and told Amit to pick me and drop me to Cantt station which is just 1 km from my PG. He came along with his parents and I reached station at 6.30 p.m. I saw the train coming from far and Coolie told me its Karnataka Express…shit man!!! I did not have time to go thru the bridge as it was coming on the other platform...i just jumped and started crossing the dirty dingy railway track and somehow managed to reach on the platform 2 before the train…it was a 5 min stop. Coolie kept the bags and train started moving…I said bye to all of them and was on my way to Delhi…

Trip…oh yes my train journey…well met three nice ppl and had fun in this journey…there was a female called Rohini who has completed her M.Sc from IIT Del and was in Bangalore for her Phd interview…then a guy called Rajib who got selected for mba in Bangalore…then third person called Milind bhaiya…eldest of all but wasn’t that old…

We discussed so many topics…it was fun…started with bangalore, weather, movies and yes made fun of each other…The best part was -Rohini was talking to someone over the phone and she said something abt Newton’s fourth law of motion...I was scratching my head as wat it is all abt…other guys were also confused...later got to know that it was a code word...smart ppl all around…we had our dinner together...then breakfast, lunch and everything (snacks and stuffs like that)…we chatted chatted and chatted …

Oh one incident which actually scared ppl around me...Milind bhaiya told that he gets up early so he will wake us all at 6.00 a.m...i made a very serious face and told him "you know i have a serious problem". Everybody was silent now. They all started looking at me...then i told them "whoever wakes me up, gets a really hardtime...as morning i get fits...i go mad..and start hitting ppl in subconcious state...once i hit so hard that the person who came to wake me up broke his front tooth ...so dont wake me...my humble request...i will get up myself" ;) Rohini started laughing...she knew what i was upto...she was just my types...morning i got up at 7.30 a.m :( office timings no....but they all were smiling..he he..poor ppl...i am so bad!!!

Last day in train was just amazing…3 ppl knew shayaris...they started off with their talent and to our surprise whole boggie was croweded to see the competition…nice fun

Reached New Delhi and brother and cousin was there to pick me...we hired a Taxi and then finally reached home. It was a surprise for mom. I did not tell her the real dates of my journey…had informed dad and brother abt it...wanted to see moms face…

I reached home and just hugged my mom…she was in shock for a moment…The best of all was… I was in regular touch with Mom thru my cell while traveling and she did not get a faintest idea of my journey...She tried to ask me about my journey details and I was avoiding that…on Thursday...she was smart enough to ask indirectly abt my journey details…I gave her a wrong date…poor mom was happy when I told I will be reaching on Sunday…She went and told me brother " See how smart I am…I indirectly asked her things and managed to get the information” my little monster who was aware of everything laughed at her and told “ U think u are the only smart person left on this world? She is your daughter and way ahead of u”

But mom could not make out anything…she understood those lines when I reached home :)

Bose- The forgotten hero

I saw "Bose- the forgotten hero"...Directed by Shyam Benegal...what to say about the movie....it starts with some confusion...seems like we missed something in the story but slowly catches the speed...and then it shows Netaji's struggle in escaping from kolkatta from british CID and raising an army in exile to fight the British...his meetings with Hitler and others...the converstaions were good out there and his firmness for freedom stunned me...

well i dont know how many of u know abt it but the film says that Mr.Bose hired a secretary "Emlie" in germany. He made her pregnant and before moving out of germany this female reminds him abt his family (abt her and yet to born baby) and requests him for a traditional hindu marriage...They tied nuptials knot in germany itself and she gave birth to a baby girl and they named her "Anita Bose".

As per the movie the baby was born in early forties that means she must be around 65...where is she now...i am sure she must be alive...what happened to Bose family..in the movie they showed that he wrote a letter to his family in kolkatta, requesting them to take care of his wife and daughter after him...Did his wife and daughter ever visited India?

After googling i found that Anita Bose is still in germany and today, Anita bose Pfaff, is an economics professor at Augsburg University in southern Germany. Below is the link which captures Netajis life from childhood to death.

Trip to Tirupati Balaji

This weekend i visited to Balaji Temple for the second time. Friday nite i was in office till 9.00 p.m and then rushed to the movie hall to catch Bunty and Babli. Good time pass. Saturday was off. So got up late and then killed my time sitting here and there. Then i ran to catch my bus at 7.30 from race course road. Finally reached Tirupati at 2.00 in the nite. Everything was taken care by the travels as it was a package tour. Took a bath at 3.00 a.m (first time so early) and then there was a city bus available for the further journey. In the nite/early morning the city was asleep and we were travelling for good. The bus took us from the city to mountains...first time in my life i was scared of the journey..the driver was skillful no doubt but somehow i had a feeling that the bus with fall in the valley and everyone will die. But nothing happened. I saw the city from the ghats and lights from the city appeared like stars from there. I just saw up and there were stars above..it was a beautiful scene...

Reached the temple at 4.00 a.m. Then the guide took us to a long queue. On being asked he told me that this is a special darshan...looking at the queue it didnot appear like special. Anyways almost 2 hrs in that slow moving Q and then finally reached to the main room. hardly 30 sec for it and the police and admin ppl started pushing everyone, coz they wanted to manage the crowd. Came out and then followed the crowd which was going to the "Hundi". Hundi is a big container covered with white cloth and some small windows made for ppl to drop their offerings (money). I dropped my offering as well as my warden's as she gave me a coin covered in yellow cloth for this Hundi. Came back to the meeting point fixed by the guide. So many beggers out there..gosh..

Then started off in the bus and they took us to the Padmavati temple nearby. It was 9.00 when we reached there and pretty hot outside. To be at the safer side guide told us to remove the chappals/sandals in the bus itself. We followed him barefoot to the temple. Roads were burning with the heat of sun and it started hurting us. But then coming so far and not visiting the temple wasnt a wise decision so we moved on. We entered inside, and the fragnance of the ladoos fillled in the whole temple gave a very pleasant feeling. Standing there and waiting for others was a big headache, but thankfully nobody took that much time. While standing there i was wandering. Read a few names on the temple walls scratched and written by some lousy ppl to prove that they visited. Then i saw a board saying " Special Darshanam for 10 Rs". I knew this guide wud have booked the tickets of this row only. Then i saw a second board saying " Darshanam" i guess this was free and huge crowd and local ppl standing out there. But that wasnt end of it. I saw the third board "Quick Darshanam 40 Rs" . I dont understand why these ppl distinguish between darshaan. Who are they to discriminate ppl on basis of how much one can pay? Anyways when my mind was trying to answer these questions to myself i took a position in the special darshaan and some 200 ppl were standing before me in the "Q". The Q was moving slowly. Before i cud reach half the distance the Q stopped. We watied and waited but no movement. It was so hot that ppl started sweating and i felt the sickness in me arousing. The weather was sticky hot and humid. I asked my friend "when will this move?" but it was stupid of me to ask. After another half an hour we got the information that some VVIP has come and he is doing VVIP darshan personally in the temple so others were made to wait...how sick...

Simple darshaan, Special darshaan, Quick darshaan and V.V.I.P darshaan. (In gods place we are being discriminated...and we are democratic)

Somehow we finished it and i ran without taking the prasad coz there was a loooooooooooooooong Q for it and i wasnt in a position to stand any longer. I came out to breathe fresh air. Sat in the bus and it started back for bangalore. Reached bangalore at 6.00.
This was a pending visit which i wanted to do sometimes back. After i go back to delhi coming all the way to balaji wud be little tough so though of finishing it this time :) Felt a peace in me after this. I wish to see Vaishno Devi soon :)
